No prior experience is required; beginners and experts are both welcome to participate.
No coding is needed; the focus is entirely on visual and experiential design.
Yes, registration is mandatory to participate and to receive the Slack link and updates.
You can participate individually or as part of a team with 1–4 members.
Use the Slack workspace Teams channel to connect with other participants and form a team.
Yes, participants can change team membership or switch modes before submitting the final design.
Yes, participants from anywhere can join as long as they submit work online within deadlines.
Figma is required for design submissions, along with a slide deck and short video walkthrough.
Yes, designs must be age-appropriate, motivating, visually clear, and emotionally supportive.
Choose one: Elementary (K–5), Middle School (6–8), or High School (9–12), and design accordingly.
Join the opening webinar and key sessions, but other resources and Slack discussions are optional.
Use the Slack Support/Help channel to ask questions and get guidance from organizers.
Submit a Figma link, 3–5 slide deck explaining your design choices, and a 2–5 minute video.
No, only the final version from your team or individual account will be considered for judging.
Submissions after the deadline cannot be accepted, so plan to submit on time via the form.
AI is optional but if used, it must be intentional and explained clearly in your submission.
Submissions are evaluated based on clarity, visual quality, empathy for students, and use of AI.
Finalists receive feedback during showcase sessions and optional 1:1 sessions with founders.
Yes, prizes include gift cards, mentorship, badges, founder sessions, and portfolio or internship opportunities.
At least one representative per team should attend the showcase and prize ceremony.
Yes, you can showcase your work publicly after the hackathon, respecting the IP guidelines.
